Public Garden

(Assembly Hall) It dates back to the region of the Asiljah VI Public Garden is meant for the citizens recreations. It is situated in the heart of the city. The Gardens are surrounded by a wall with two lofty gate ways and has a number of improtant public buildings viz., the legislative Assembly, the Hyderabad museum, the Health museum, the Narita Pavilion, the Jubilee hall and a children's library. The park has a number of small lakes beautifully studded with lotus. Children's play-ground is a vast green patch for citizens to stroll upon in the evening.The Hyderabad Public Gardens is one of the biggest and oldest parks of the State Capital with several attractions for tourists and locals alike.It is home to the Andhra Pradesh State Archaeological Museum and the Health Museum.  The Lalitha Kala Thoranam is a beautiful open-air theatre that plays host to several film festivals, fashion shows and beauty pageants.  If you are a culture buff, you would do well to schedule your visit to take in one of the cultural shows.The Department of Horticulture conducts several workshops for garden lovers on various aspects of gardening. The Andhra Pradesh Legislative Assembly is a stunningly beautiful white structure that stands majestically amidst the sprawling green lawns. As you walk down the tree lined avenues, you will stumble upon an ancient mosque, a quiet testimony to a bygone era.

There are several attractions for children at the Public Gardens.  Jump in and take a ride around these beautiful gardens in the Childrens train.  Enjoy the sight of children going wild in the Childrens Park. The Jawahar Bal Bhavan has interesting programmes for children and conducts training programmes in Fine Arts. The Indira Gandhi Auditorium is another popular venue for plays and cultural programmes. Amidst the hustle and bustle of Hyderabad, The Public Gardens of Hyderabad stands out as an oasis of beauty and greenery.

The Public garden of Hyderabad is regarded as the oldest and most probably the largest of all the gardens of Hyderabad. The Park is very celebrated especially amongst the children because a children's train takes the visitors around this wonderful park. Children of the city are very fond of this place and the tourists will definitely find it as interesting and beautiful as the natives find it to be.

The Public Gardens Of Hyderabad is not only a very popular site of attraction but its also an important landmark of the city. The Park is very famous not only for its well kept , mowed and lush green meadows and gardens which are adorned with flowers and plants of a wide variety but also because of the renowned building present inside the garden premises.

The Public Garden of Hyderabad is home to two most interesting museums of the city:

    * The Andhra Pradesh State Archaelogical Museum
    * The Health Museum

So the tourists benefit doubly whilst visiting this garden because they can also cover two other very magnificent attractions of the city.

Apart from the park there is a lovely park where the kids can go on playing endlessly , a small kids school called the Jawahar Bal Bhavan , which is a fine arts academy where the children are taught fine arts and an auditorium called the India Gandhi Auditorium.

Other important buildings housed in the garden are :

    * The Lalith Kala Thoranam which is an open air theater has been a venue to many beauty pageants and film fests
    * The Department of Horticulture
    * The prehistoric mosque.

The most striking feature of the garden is the magnificent white structure in white standing with all its glory , The Legislative Assembly of Andhra Pradesh. The park has lots of surprises waiting for you inside.
