We are in the very early stages of planning a two week trip to France for September of 2009. The plan is to fly in to Paris, rent a car at CDG and take off from there. We would like to visit some of the Canadian war cemeteries in Normandy and my husband`s French ancestors originally came from that area before they emigrated to Canada. We also want to visit the Loire Valley again as we were on a very quick tour there some years ago and didn`t get to see as much as we would have liked. This would be in the area of Blois and Tours. Is this too ambitious a trip to do in two weeks, especially when you consider we also want to spend four or five days in Paris? Also, what car rental agency is the best and should we rent the car before we go or do it when we get there? Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
