This Sun temple is 106 kms from Ahmadabad claims its place among India's most significant movements. Built by Solanki King Bhimden in 1026 AD. The temple complex was constructed by Himden II in 1027 AD. The other wall are beautifully carved. Also captivating erotic sculptures can be seen. The temple was ransacked by Mohammed Ghazni, yet the remains are must to be seen by any visi¬tor.
The temple has been so de¬signed that during equinoxe the Sun shines directly in the Shrine through the doors of the Mandapam. Twelve images of the Sun God are found in the inner niches. These images seem to be styled on Mishra, the Sun God found in the Middle East.
