Getting There
Air:
The nearest airport is in the state capital Chandigarh which is 100km away from Ludhiana. Various domestic airlines operate their flights to and from Chandigarh to the other destinations of India on a regular basis.
Rail:
Ludhiana railway station is well connected with New Delhi and all other important towns of India. Train takes about 4-5 hrs from New Delhi to reach Ludhiana. The express and super fast trains regularly ply to and from Ludhiana. The inter-state rail travel is also excellent and the passenger trains operate regularly from the major towns of Punjab to Ludhiana.
Road:
Access information for Ludhiana, about 59 km south of Jalandhar and along the National Highway # 1, is similar to Jalandhar. Ludhiana is situated on the Amritsar-Delhi Grand Trunk Road. New Delhi, Amritsar, Chandigarh and other major cities in Punjab are well linked with Ludhiana through road.
Getting Around
Getting around could be quite a task in Ludhiana because of excessive traffic in Chaura bazaar and the recent construction of the NH-1 bypass ramp. But a lot Auto-rickshaws are constantly taking people from Point A to Point B and vice-versa. A lot of bus transportation has developed which has routes between the under-construction Ludhiana Bus Depot, old courts, Different Bye passes around the city and the Chaura Bazaar.
