Dalhousie is one such hill station, nestle( on the spur at the Western end o Dauladhar Dalhousie in its present shap( was founded in 1850 when the British ac quired five hills (Kathalagh, Potreyn, Teral' ( Now called Mots Tibba by the locals,' Bakrota and Bhangora). Later it was trans- ferred to the Guradaspur District in August 1861, only after reorganisation of the state, Dalhousie became a part of Chamba Dis- trict of Himachal Pradesh on 1st Novem- ber, 1966.
Dalhousie as its name indicates has been named after its founder the Vice- roy Lord Dalhousie. Situated 1525 mts. 2378 metres. This area was leased out by the Raja of Chamba high the British rulers.
